RETURN POLICY & WARRANTY INFORMATION

  • Design Quotes

    Your FIRST quote/consult is free. If there are any changes needed to be made to the initial quote or design, the $250.00 design fee will kick in. This fee will cover all time spent designing, researching, contacting vendors, and any additional meetings regarding your project. This $250.00 is non-refundable if you decline your quote. If the quote is accepted, you will receive a contract for that project to move forward.

    With projects over $2,000, we require a $800.00 non-refundable designing fee. Once the job is accepted, we will roll that amount paid into your project cost. If you choose to decline moving forward with the project, we will provide you with your design rendering, layout, and cut list for you to use at any manufacture.

  • Return Policy

    Custom furniture orders are put on the schedule immediately upon order (payment made) and materials are ordered specifically for each job. Most custom projects require a full payment to begin. If your project calls for other payment draws, that will be listed on the contract and scope of work. Down payments for your project cover materials and the initial labor to get your project started.

    Furniture orders can only be cancelled or changed without penalty within 72 hours of purchase (down payment received) or signing of contract. Changes made on your project will be dealt with on a project to project basis. If these changes require extra costs outside of the original invoice/contract, the customer will be responsible for these.

    Once your furniture is in process, it cannot be returned or exchanged.

  • Client Obligations

    Pearl & Sons Furniture Design LLC is an independent business, not the owner’s or client’s employee. Any employee or sub contractor hired by Pearl & Sons are not the owner’s employees. Pearl & Sons and the owner/client agree to the following rights consistent with an independent business relationship:

    1. Pearl & Sons has a right to perform services for others during the term of your agreement

    2. Pearl & Sons has the sole right to control and direct the means, manner, and method by with the services required by any agreement will be performed.

    3. Pearl & Sons, its employees, or sub contractors shall perform the services required by your agreement.

    4. Owner/client shall not hire, supervise, or pay any assistance to help contractor.

    5. Owner/client shall not require Pearl & Sons, its employees, or sub contractors to devote full time to performing the services required by any and all agreements.

    6. Neither Pearl & Sons, its employees, or sub contractors are eligible to participate in any employee pension, health, vacation pay, sick pay, or other fringe benefit plan of Owner.

    7. Pearl & Sons performs work during normal business hours, such as 8:00 AM-5:00 PM, Monday-Friday. Any communication or request for work outside of our normal operating business hours shall be billed (prorated) at $65.00/hour. This includes any and all methods of communication, including but not limited to phone calls, text messages, instant messages, any social media communication, emails, and/or face to face communication.

    8. Pearl & Sons performs work in accordance to any signed work order, contract, scope of work, and design that we render. Any deviance from this constitutes a change order at an extra cost and extends the timeline of project completion.

    9. Pearl & Sons has the right to enforce these policies at its discretion.

  • Warranty

    We carefully inspect each product before pick-up or delivery and guarantee a one-year warranty to cover and severe damage in workmanship, materials, and construction. Should you discover damage on your product, please contact us right away. In the event that damage is found, we will either repair or replace the damaged item at our discretion. Please be aware that natural materials will change over time (seasonal movement, natural movement of the wood). We do not cover damage from extreme temperatures, abuse, humidity, or moisture exposure.

    We do our very best to ensure that each product is not only safe and reliable, but matched to our professional specifications. The wonderful thing about natural hardwood is that it is unique; each product may look slightly different than the next. Color and grain dissatisfaction will not be a valid reason for a return. Do to its nature, natural wood will experience seasonal movement that is noticeable, however, seasonal movement is not a valid reason for dissatisfaction, but it is to be appreciated.

  • Furniture Care

    Dust and wipe clean often. Mild soap and water or Murphy’s Oil soap are preferred cleaning solutions. Please wipe with the grain of the wood. Keep furniture free of heavy moisture.

  • Service Calls

    Once your project is completed or your furniture is delivered, and if you have any questions regarding your products, our service fee is $75.00. Once we assess your concerns, any extra work done will be billed accordingly.
